Arrived at 8:30am to a pretty full lot. It was overcast and we decided to go up Gorge Brook since we havent done that route. Well....it was closed due to water damage so we took the Snapper ReRoute about a half mile. Took us about 90 minutes to reach the summit. The clouds were thick and heavy and it started to mist slightly. We had a quick lunch and headed back down. The clouds burned off as we made it to South Peak. Turned out to be a nice afternoon. The trail was in great shape and there was plenty of water. When we got back to the TH, the line of cars going down the road from the Lodge was long. Great day to be back out in The Whites.
