Mt. Osceola via the Mt. Osceola Trail from Tripoli Road
Trail Conditions: Trail in outstanding condition for such a popular route. No blowdowns, dry conditions, good footing (if a modest amount of rock-hopping for creaky knees).
Special Equipment Required: Sunscreen and a little extra water were both "nice-to-haves" on this warm, sunny day.
Comments: "Freedom Hike 2008" -- a small group of local parents (Mike, Patty, Deb, Jackie, Nancy and Andy, accompanied by labs Tilly and Molly) dropped the kids off for their first day of school, then headed out for a great day on the mountain. Absolutely lovely day - clear skies, bright sun, great visibility.
