I heard about this on public radio yesterday. I have been thinking about heading over to check out those caves on Dorset ( during the time they are "open"), but I think I'll just stay clear til they figure this out. It sounds like the bats have enough to deal with without me sticking my head in their caves. I hope the scientists figure this out. The report on NPR said they believe this could lead to a full scale collapse of ALL bat populations in the Northeast. My understanding is that bats aren't pollenators in this region, but they sure do eat a lot of insects.....
