Lincoln Brook Trail>Black Pond Trail>Black Pond BW>Franconia Brook Trail>Owl's Head Slide>Brutus BW>Franconia Brook and Lincoln Woods Trails upon return
Conditions: Stayed at 2100 on Black Pond BW -- high and dry -- Fisherman's Path looked muddy as did lower elevations. Franconia Brook Trail very muddy in spots, would be nice to see some waterbars installed to preserve this trail. Owl's Head slide dry until just before the top, where some ice appears, easily stepped around. Summit sign gone. Took Brutus BW down, excellent route. Opted to take trails back instead of whacking due to fading light. Larger crossings took some care with three dogs and three tired peeps. Very muddy sections along the trail between the larger crossings and Lincoln Woods Trail.
Congrats to Judy on her second round completion!
This was also a first for trail dogs Pemi and Gem.
Thanks for the excellent company, MichaelJ and Judy.
