Passadumkeag Mountain

Has anyone climbed Passadumkeag recently? If so, these days is coming from Greenfield or Burlington the better route? If the latter, how clear was the trail? In my edition of the Maine Mountain Guide (eighth), it makes it sound like the trail on the north side has pretty much been destroyed by logging. Also, was there much for views on the summit?

There is a jeep trail to summit from SW, we made it to warden's cabin with 2wd
