This is a very valid warning, avoid any of the major highways that head anywhere near the concert especially after the concert. Both 89 and 93 are going to be crazy.
I had the opportunity to drive thru the post concert traffic after a phish concert in Limestone a few years ago from Houlton Maine to Bangor. The traffic was reported to be the same past Bangor all the way to the maine border in kittery. It was very scary as most of the individuals on the road had been up for a couple of days. I95 was steady traffic both lanes. Add in VW vans that acted as rolling roadblocks at about 60 and bunch of big dollar european sport sedans trying to slalom around the vans at 85 plus and it was downright dangerous to drive. We counted about 20 vehicles off the road in what looked like drivers falling asleep at the wheel, plus several rollovers.
