Date of Hike: Saturday, January 17, 2008
Trail Conditions: Snowmobile-groomed, packed powder.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes (not required, but useful)
Comments:
Due to snowmobile traffic, the trail to the fire tower was perfectly groomed and wide enough for two people to XC ski side-by-side. We dropped our skis after the bridge and snowshoed to the summit. Some ice, but manageable with MSRs and possible to avoid. A light wind at the top and limited views.
