Proposed increases in camping fees for NH State campgrounds

They shouldn't be competitive with private campgrounds, because they don't offer nearly as much in regard to amenities. I don't camp anymore, but have driven through Hancock and a few others, I saw nothing in the way of upgrades that warrant a price increase. But hey, everybody wants more money and people will pay it. I think it was like 8 bucks when I started out, haha.
 
Hancock is a WMNF campground. The state had done upgrades to their state owned sites and are spending a bundle at some of them like Jericho State Park. Dry RIver Campground was upgraded several years ago. I believe the state also dis a lot of work at Lafayette place several years ago but it was mostly infrastructure. Lake Umgagog also got upgrades a few years back.
