This was a loop hike of about 7 miles in the southeast corner of the Presidential Range Dry River Wilderness. About half of this trek was a bushwhack, and the other half was on the Mt. Langdon Trail.

The hike was done on 18-March-2013. Considering the significant snowfall since this hike, the conditions for the Mt. Langdon Trail will probably no longer be relevant. Regardless, on the day of my hike, there were no issues with blowdowns, or with water crossings. However, there was an issue with the post-holed condition of the trail. It appeared that a group of hikers had barebooted from the trailhead all the way to the Mt. Langdon Shelter. The treadway was so choppy that I ended up bushwhacking through the woods parallel to the trail's corridor. It was much easier than trying to negotiate the choppy trail!

Photos from this trek are at my BLOG.
