Tecumseh
Date of Hike: Sunday, April 6, 2008
Trail Conditions: The Tecumseh trail very well packed down to the summit. A couple of blowdowns which I had to crawl under.
Special Equipment: I brought my snowshoes but they weren't needed, no post holing, so I barebooted for the ascent. I used my super duper microspikes on the way down for excellent traction.
Comments: Still in awe with the amount of snow on the trail, especially on the summit. The trees seemed determined to steal my wool cap but I held onto it! It's sooo good to be back on the trail again and I'm very happy, too, that its still winter conditions, and I didn't miss it all - this is only my second hike since an injury a few months ago.
