Don't know from experience, but in the summer I've heard of river trips starting just south of Littleton to Lisbon. There is a dam at downtown Lisbon, and then again at Bath.

From REI Mentions it may be too shallow at times. Maybe wait for a rain event if possible?

The river upstream from Littleton is surely done in the spring as a serious whitewater trip.

The AMC publishes a series of river guides: the NH verision is here: http://amcstore.outdoors.org/amcstore/product.asp?s_id=0&pf_id=PAAAAAFPLNNFEDEL

They also publish a series of quiet water guides: http://amcstore.outdoors.org/amcstore/dept.asp?s_id=0&dept_name=Paddle+Sports&dept_id=3013

They used to publish the "New England White Water Guide" by Ray Gabler, but the last edition was 1981. Perhaps the info has been absorbed into the river guides.

FWIW there is a nice 3 mi section of Class III water on the Ammo starting just below its crossing of Rte 3 in Twin Mtn...

BTW: I am building a kayak, want in?

 Unless you're rotomolding it, I'd be afraid to actually use it. I'm sure it will look great, though.

Interesting. We were just west of there. Must just need to catch it right. I'll need to check out those guides, thanks.
