Three Cups of Tea veracity questioned

I heard a rumor the whole thing only involved two cups of tea.

I think they have proof it was 3 cups of Starbucks dark roast!

Apparently one local employee was guilty of embezzlement.

If the mission is partly to educate the public, then talks by Mortensen and ads for his books are a program expense. There used to be a "hunger" charity whose mission was to raise awareness of hunger, they didn't actually feed anybody.

And with all charities, if they send you a letter saying "Did you know that xxx, now send us money to fix that?" if only 2% send money is this mailing a 98% educational expense and only 2% fundraising?

It sounds like the US government should insist on better financial management or revoke their tax deduction, that does not necessarily mean criminal fraud. And at least some of the money you send them will help Central Asia somehow, unlike money you spend on lattes.
