Will be staying in crown point, ny. There is a bridge to vermont near there.
What are some good 1500-2500 foot climbs within about 2 hours of crown point in Vermont.

It's a pretty straight shot over to Mt. Abraham, which is always nice. On the way, you have Snake Mountain and the Hogback Mountains. I don't know about trails, but I have read trip reports at least from Snake. Also, don't forget that the North end of the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness is just a few minutes in the other direction in NY. Have fun!

On the NY side, there is trails around the Tongue mtn range not too far from Crown Point..

Abraham, Ellen, and Camel's Hump all aren't too far from there, and are nice hikes.

TCD's suggestion of the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness isn't a bad one either. In particulary, Treadway Mountain is accessible from Putnam Pond (I think you'll have to pay a day use fee). The views from Treadway over Pharoah Lake are spectacular.

Jay H's suggestion of the Tongue Range is a good one too.
