Bushwhacked West Field today solo. Wet snow and 3/4 mile of thick spruce made for wet & cold work. But it's done.
I met Barbara, Tom (Lavalamp) and "Ginger" at the Zealand Trailhead - and I hope they had a successful day on Zealand & Hale.
Hiked the Zealand Trail, A-Z Trail to about 3000', then a compass line to the summit. I've read that a southerly approach may be more open than the northerly approach I took.
