Wildcat-E.jpg

This view is from the parking lot at the AMC Pinkham Notch Center. I am interested in the bald area at the height of this ridge, which looks a bit like Stairs Mtn. Is this Wildcat E? Judging by the map, I'm guessing that Wildcat E is the wooded hump just to the left (northish) of the bald area, and that the Wildcat Ridge Trail goes over that hump. It's been many years since I hiked that trail. Thanks for any help.

Happy Trails :)

I don't believe you can see Wildcat E from the parking lot at Pinkham. It's one of the bumps on the ridge on the way up. IIRC, you go past that on the way up the Wildcat Ridge trail.

I believe you're correct, Dave. I was just up there Sat., coming from the opposite direction and D and E are both quite distinct little knobs. I don't see a knob in this picture so suspect E is out of sight farther along the ridge.
