NMB packed out nicely. Wildcat Ridge Tr saw deep powder, sections in the steeps where there was waist deep drifting. Some spots of firmer windpacked powder. Got off trail at the switchback and drifted (drifted and drifted) up and over then back kinda not really floundering but not exactly happy about where I was. Plowed back to the left and eventually found the trail about 50 yds from summit! Took the actual trail back to the point of confusion. Shouldn't be hard to miss where it ties in and where I went so very wrong! But all said it wasn't a bad 'impromptu' whack, once I made it over the headwall it was smooth sailing!
Pretty much a snowshoe event. brought crampons but they stayed put.
had to McGyver my binding with a micro bungee and thankfully and not too surprisingly, it lasted all day.
its all good
