Trails: 19Milebrook Trail, Wildcat Ridge, Polecat
Conditions: 19Mile in pretty good shape as long as you stayed on the "monorail". We started pretty early so the snow was nice and firm. There are several sections where the was no snow at all. At the junction we put on our snowshoes and wore them for until we reached the ski trail. Going up A peak was not bad so long as you stayed on the packed snow. No problems going across the slide. Wildcat Ridge was slow going. Still lots of snow up high meaning for lots of branches to plow through. We did some postholing even with the snow shoes and got caught in a few spruce traps. Polecat was wet corn snow but made for a nice descent.
Fun hike with lots of great views along the way. We did see some bear tracks coming off of A peak...I'm guessing they were a day or so old.
