• Navigation with topographical map and compass

• Postholing (on foot without snowshoes)
• Tyrolean traverse

Description
The Frigid Infliction is a ten hour adventure race for teams of two or three on
Saturday, March 3rd, 2007. The race will feature several winter disciplines as well as requiring you to continually navigate. We allow two or three person teams, coed or single sex.
We use an accelerated cutoff system which allows us to really challenge experienced teams while providing a great race for the first timers. If you have never done an adventure race before, this is the perfect one to start with. This was the first adventure race for about a third of the participants last year, and every team had a great time!

The race is unsupported. Teams can receive no assistance from anyone once the race begins.

Brilliant. Your race is scheduled the same day as a snowshoe marathon/half marathon in Pittsfield, VT, as well as the Great Glen to Bretton Woods XC ski race, not to mention the Hawley Kiln 5k and 9 miler snowshoe races. Good luck.

Thanks for posting this, DaveSunRa. There are many options for outdoor fun in Vermont this weekend! Its making it tough for me to decide what to do!
