Trail Conditions: Around 2" of snow at the trailhead gradually increasing to approximately 1' to 2' near the summit. Hancock Notch and Cedar Brook were mostly hard-packed, while a good portion of Hancock loop was loose and powdery with some areas of post-holing. The water crossings in the lower sections of trail were somewhat difficult due to partial freezing and slippery rocks.
Special Equipment: Warm clothes and gaiters are definites. Stabilicers or yaktraks are a must too. Snowshoes would hurt for most of the way either. Not really crampon worthy.
