We followed a solid trail buried under less than a foot of fluffy snow to the top of Saddleback on January 31st. On the return trip, just below the summit, we met a group of 12 who were doing a round trip from Peggy O'Brian. Also, below the SB-Gothics col the Orebed trail had been skied.
So for the time being I think you could pogo-stick up and down that trail. Just don't let a ranger catch you!
