In Memoriam to a Deceased Member
Beta from Julie at Highland Center was that the trail was unlikely to be broken, and that proved to be correct. I broke 3 inches down low, and a foot up high. Took 4 hours to reach the summit, which was completely socked in and had visibility of ~30 feet.
It appears that nobody has been on this trail for up to a week. I had little trouble following the groove in the snow, lucky enough, since the blazes are mostly missing or invisible.
While I didn't attempt the Webster Cliff trail toward the hut, I rather doubt that it has been broken out. Julie says that the Highland Center has been getting 3 inches of new snow every night for the past 5 days.
4th peak in my Over 70 quest.
