Date of Hike: Sep 8, 2014

Trail Conditions: The Iron Mtn Trail started off great cutting through fields but as soon as I got in the woods there was a large muddy section. At the moment it was hard. From there conditions were clear but as the trail climbed it became more of a heavily eroded stream bed. It was dry today but this trail would be a handful during a heavy rain. Once past the summit I continued on good trails to the southern ledges - the route was mostly well-marked with cairns. Where it wasn't care had to be taken to stay on trail. The Mine Spur was also well marked but there were a couple of places the trail was hard to follow.

Special Equipment Used: None.

Comments: I hiked this one solo as one of my 52WAV peaks. Nice little mountain close to home.
