Probably the original winter holiday. Definitely interesting weather for the first day of winter.
Looking at the weather profile on Mt Washington all the temps are above freezing and six out of seven are over 40F. I expect the snow pack will survive but there will be bare spots and blown out ice bridges. The river gauges are moving but at least in Gorham NH I didnt hear any major downpours, just steady rain.
