And I thought the Giant Hogweed was simply an imaginary plant - I know it only from an obscure Genesis tune from long ago... (1971). Quite a bit of that growing around the perimeter of some local ponds here in VT, locally called "Cow Parsley" among other things. Very distinct looking plant!
 
Northern Woodlands recently had an article about invasive species and the giant hogweed was mentioned as well as wild parsnip. They both sound like nasty stuff to get involved with.
