    Raingear

    I use my precip as a windcoat on summits also and it keeps me dry in driving rain, that said keep in my mind there is no thermal value so if the temp. is low,the combination of heavy wind and rain will more than likely leave you chilled.

    I received it early this year and a freind of mine did some research and found out it is an older picture and the story is filled with inaccuracies. Still an impressive picture though,probably drop of a heart attack at the sight alone. :eek:

    I found a heronry!

    Herons I have a swamp right near my house that has what I have been told is the biggest nesting area in Mass. There has to be 50-75 herons there, its quite impressive. Mike D.

    Cookset for Backpacking

    I have to agree-titanium all the way. I have the msr titan set -2 pots a handle and a lid that fits both. Weighs in at only 10.5 oz and if you use a canister stove you can fit a 12oz canister inside the pots to save space.

    I just picked up a Marmot arroyo 30 degree long from sierra trading for $179, thats $100 dollars off for a premium bag. Its made with 800 power fill down and pertex nylon shell, weighs in at 2lbs 2 oz. Other features worth looking at also.
