I have never used a tent platform while camping. Since tent stakes don't go into wood so easy, any wisdom from the group on idaes as to how its done? What size nails are best? :D :D Just kidding about the nails part, any info would help I'm going out soon and will be using a platform to setup.

Anyone out there using GPS units? I'm looking for something entry level just to point out locations on the trail etc. Nothing fancy and pricey just basic with a good signal. Any success with or opinions on the model below...

I was out in the Owl's Head area recently and noticed a very wet and muddy section between Qwl's Head slide and 13 Falls Campsite due to beaver activity. I would hate to lose the trail to beavers. Maybe it's time to trap them out. Does anyone know of any other problem areas in need of such...
