    Mt Washington 10/30/09

Decided to go up Lions head and down Tuckerman Ravine. Beautiful day, no ice. Some patches of snow. No traction needed. Winds were light, maybe 20kts. Temps were around 40. Though with the calm winds and bright sunshine, it felt like it was 70. Though I keep the polar fleece. Didn't want to get...

    Nest Identification

Hey, Unfortunately I didn't have a camera. Out on my wood pile on the trap that covers it, I found an interesting nest. Actually four or five of them. They were maybe 1.5in long, tightly woven thread, cashew shaped. Any ideas? Sorry no pictures... THX!

    Flume and Liberty 10/24/08

Easy going up the flume until the slide where the rocks were slippery and wet. Snow started around 3,000 feet. Didn't have an impact going up but, between Flume ann Liberty and down Liberty springs, Trex traction was helpful. About 3 inches of snow or so in the woods esspecially shady spots...
