For this weekend, 5/31, will snowshoes be needed between N & S Twin? Hoping to not need them, but will take them if needed. Will stabilicers or micro spikes be enough traction for this hike? Is the road to the N Twin trailhead still gated? Thanks in advance.

I am planning to do both Owlshead (day 1) and the Bonds (day 2), starting from Lincoln Woods off the Kanc. Where is a good spot to set up camp? Would like to start early on day 1, set up camp, hike Owlshead and return to camp. Day 2 hike the Bonds, return to camp & return to Lincoln Woods...

Sleep Bag Liners I have a fleece liner sold by Campmor, it serves my purpose. Have used it in the huts, alone on a warm nite and in a sleeping bag for added warmth. :) Don

How late into October/November are they open? Do they close like some of the huts? TIA Don

Does anyone have the GPS co-ords for the Black Pond Bushwack? Will be trying it in about a week and would like to have them "just in case". Is the bushwack fairly dry? I did it a few years ago and seem to remember some wet spots. Thanks Don

It will probably take longer than you think. Leave yourself plenty of time. Crampons will probably be needed, maybe snowshoes (although I haven't been there recently). Have fun! :D :D :D

Recently on a hike with a group of about 10. One person decides to go another way down and agrees to meet us. Of course, that person gets lost. Spend about 2 hours trying to locate her, some of the main group weren't too happy. Anyways, person found. All is well that ends well I guess. But...

Try REI for the bodyglide. That solved the chafing problem for me along with some polypro boxers. :D :D :D

Going up to South Twin from Galehead Hut, with a heavy pack. It is only about a mile, but it is a killer!!!

Are there any reliable, easily accessable water sources on the trails to Mt Isolation via the Rocky Branch Trail? Or do I leave the filter home & just carry my water in. Isolation then Adams are #47 & #48!!! TIA

Is the road to the N Twin trailhead open or still closed due to some logging going on? If closed, how long of a road walk to the trailhead? Is it OK to park on the road? TIA
