N Twin & N Twin Trail

Is the road to the N Twin trailhead open or still closed due to some logging going on?
If closed, how long of a road walk to the trailhead? Is it OK to park on the road?

Haystack Road is open and no problem to drive. There are a couple of soft verges that have stakes and flags on to keep passing traffic off but the road itself is fine. At least it was last weekend

The parking area is not large but there was ample space when we got there a little after 7am. Reports from other hikers we met said it was full to overflowing later in the morning.

This is a remote parking area and I saw (and reported) some suspicious activity by a bunch of guys in a small white jeep so don't leave any valuables in your vehicle.
