Trail Conditions: Trail is in great shape. Not many markers but easy to follow.
Special Equipment Required: Bug Repellant.
Comments: Today was about 90 degrees at the trailhead and about 80 at the summit. There was a gentle breeze. Views from the tower were excellent. I carried rocks to the summit for erosion control.
From Paul Smiths, Keese Mills Rd to Blue Mountain Rd is 8 miles paved and 10 miles unpaved to the trailhead. Heading north from the trailhead, Blue Mountain Rd is unpaved for 4 miles.
Drive safely. It’s butterfly season.
