Conditions: Blueberry Mountain Trail was in good shape. Initial junctions in grassy road were unmarked; but just go LEFT each time. Ignore the mileage listed on the trailhead sign and go by the guidebook. A few blowdowns, cleared enough to get by easily. Parts of the trail could use some minor brushing-out. Ample water for dogs in the small streams (lower sections) and puddles in the rock (ledge). The turnoff to the 0.1 mile spur trail to the summit is marked only by a low (two rock) cairn and is not obvious, especially if hiking up from the east.
Comments: Nice, gentle little hike in the Benton Range. Worth a visit if you are in the Upper Valley area. The best views are on the ledges to either side of the summit. Blueberries mostly gone by.

*Addition: Just heard that this trail is being closed (from both ends) due to logging activity. Will remain closed for the foreseeable future. Check the White Mountain National Forest website for further information.
