Conditions on Moosilauke?

Does anyone know what the current conditions are for the Gorge Brook Trail on Moosilauke? Are snowshoes necessary or is trail pretty well packed? I'm also curious about the status of Ravine Lodge Rd. Any info would be appreciated.

You want snowshoes. Parts of the trail are well packed, but some sections aren't. We saw postholing on the Carriage Road and Snapper this weekend, so I expect Gorge isn't any different.

Thanks David. I actually hiked the trail yesterday not knowing what to expect. While there was plenty of snow it was pretty well packed. I went without snowshoes and had the occasional posthole. As long as I stayed centered on the herd path the trail was bare bootable. It was a great day to be out hiking.
