Congratulations to the Grey Jay - Canada's proposed national bird

I had read earlier that Loons were in the lead but surmised that the polling was being driven by the Ontario folks who hang out in Cabin Country. I was a Grey Jay fan as they are lot more gregarious than a loon plus they are year round residents, unlike Loons who clear out when the weather gets cold.

I knew that the poll numbers favoring the loon were suspect. Everywhere I went, I had people eating out of the palm of my hand. Well actually they had me eating out of the palm of their hands, but anyway, you get the picture. I am well liked.

I should have prefered the raven, but I guess the Canada Jay will do. The only problem is that back in the day they would steal our camp blind. To harm one was very bad luck.

Camp Robber is a nickname for the Canada/Grey Jay...
