It's human nature to take things from others. Always has been, always will. Acknowledging that, and finding ways to cope with it is not "giving up" - it's just recognizing reality..

True but I believe only a very very small part of human nature and limited to a few soulless individuals.

We returned from a hike Saturday to find officers from Lincoln and Franconia in the Old Bridle Path/Falling Waters trails parking lot. They had come across somebody who they believe was trying to break into a van. Unfourtuantly they were only standing behind the van when they pulled in so not caught in the act. Sounded like he went under the highway to their car that was in the campground lot.

In talking to one of the officers, we were told that they know who this was and that he normally hits cars in this area on Monday and Wednesday. He doesn't break windows, but looks for unlocked doors/uses devices to open the door, and doesn't take anything other than cash.

Hope they can catch him in the act soon!

Sounds like the MO of someone that visited lincoln woods on Saturday. We returned from a hike on Saturday and one in our group had their cash stolen but no missing credit cards or signs of forced entry.
