On Sunday 4/18/10 we continued our training by doing a circuit hike from Masemore road to Prettyboy dam via the Highland Trail and Gunpowder South Trail. Returning by the Gunpowder South Trail along the river back to our vehicle.
It was a perfect day for a hike: temperatures in the 50's and a modest breeze. The forest was greening up nicely with several species of wildflowers showing their splendor. With all the rain and record snows all our resevoirs are full to capacity.
The Big Gunpowder river below the Prettyboy dam is a well known trout stream and on any given day one can see fly fishermen casting their lures.
