From Crawford Depot lot, Webster-Jackson Tr to Mt. Jackson. Blue-bird skies, not a cloud in sight and a gentle breeze if at all. Views were magnificent in all directions.
Headed north on Webster Cliff Trail toward Pierce, but checked the time at Mitzpah Hut decided to descend from there. Eli (dog) and I were accompanied by an inexperienced hiker (girlfriend) and there was no need to come down in the dark.
Traction is a must carry - usage is personal preference. Icy where the snow has melted during the mild days and refroze at night. We were fully prepared with microspikes in the pack, but never took them out.
