Ryan and I left Corning, NY at 5am and arrived at the Garden a little after 11. Our intended schedule was to meet other fellow hikers at Peggy O and hike Basin and Haystack the next day.
WOW what a day so Ryan and I unpacked and decided to head for LWJ. The temps were in the 40's and the wind was still. We made great time and snapping a lot of pictures.
When we finally arrived at the summit Ryan and I lounged around in the sun for about an hour before heading back to camp. On our way down we ran into Photobug and his crew! I just wish Ryan and I had longer to explore more of the mountains on such a beautiful day.
