I was planning on going up Mt. Isolation via the Rocky Branch and Isolation trails and I haven't seen any posts about these trails for a while. I was wondering if anyone had any info on the brook crossings or the snow conditions. Thanks.

I heard from some VFTT celebrities tonight that there's still snow on the Davis Path, and that Rocky Branch was muddy (surprise?). They lived to tell their story, though, so it can't be too bad!

I don't consider myself a celebrity, but the aforementioned Trail conditions are true.

Some blowdown, some mud, some snow, some bugs, some great views, some easy stream crossings, some new friends! Bring gators, skip the heavy metal, bring a filter/pump and get an early start.

Longer TR later...! :D
