Date of Hike: 11/16/13

Trail Conditions: Standard rocks and roots, but nothing out of the ordinary until the last 100 feet before the summit where it becomes a hands and feet scramble. A dusting to an inch of snow in pockets at the trailhead with 3-4 inches of packed snow near the top. Once we got above the tree line, the snow had mostly all been blown away on previous days exposing bare rock. All water crossings were low and easily traversed.

Special Equipment Required: none required, but certainly at the limits of climbing in bare boots. After this weekend, I HIGHLY recommend traction aids. I would have appreciated having them for the top 1/4 of the trail, but just took it easy with my bare boots.

Comments: none
