Date of Hike: 12-31-09
Trail Conditions: Trail unbroken, mix of powder snow (little), unsupportive crust (lots), and some boilerplate in the windswept areas up top. Snow depths range from 12" to 18".
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes and poles.
Comments: Trail is broken out, crust is punched through. After the next round of snow storms, re-breaking the trail will be a little easier.
Success Pond Rd is very icy. Driving may be hazardous the next time the road is plowed. We saw one car in the ditch on the way in this morning. Use caution.
