it's after Aug 1... any news on this subject? does the Forest Service have a date by which they will make a decision / post the results of public comment?

Dunno, but decision could be coming soon, as the WMNF boss has decided that the Pemi suspension bridge at 5.5 miles and the 0.7 mile of the WT east of Bondcliff Trail will be removed this fall.
Not to be picky, but this decision came from the Pemi District Ranger, not the WMNF Forest Supervisor.
