Trail Conditions: Brought a trail saw with me for this trip. Crawford Path clear to Pierce summit with only two small blowdowns which were removed. Occasional remnants of monorail at higher elevations which are easily navigated around. Between Pierce and Eisenhower; patches of snow and ice in the col which are also fairly easy to work around. Some muddy areas, but nothing difficult. Edmands Path from Eisenhower to parking area had many blowdowns and leaners - took care of all of them except for a couple larger ones which are easily stepped over. Not much snow at all on this trail.

Special Equipment Required: No traction required today;. Good boots for the mud, and lots of bugspray for the lower elevations recommended. Lower end of Edmands is a black fly feeding ground. Food for the greyjays also needed today - those little guys are hungry (as usual).

Comments: Great day in the Southern Presis - t-shirts and sunscreen in May - doesn't get much better than that!

P.S. - Mount Clinton Road is open, even though it shows Closed on the WMNF site.
