This was my ninth annual 'turkey wobble' up Pleasant Mt. on Thanksgiving Day morning. It's a great way to work up an appetite.

We went up the Bald Peak trail this year. The trail is in good condition. It has been well maintained and freshly marked. There were no blowdowns and the one stream crossing was easily done.

The rocks and leaves were wet so some care needed to be taken but it was not particularly difficult.

The top was just above the clouds. There was an undercast all the way to the big peaks in the Whites, a spectacular view.

On the way back we continued on the North Peak trail over to Shawnee Peak. Rather than taking Sue's way we took the ski slope on the extreme right and stayed to our right. We ended up on the East Pinnacle road that put us back on Mt. Ave about 100 yards from the Bald Peak trailhead.

This was Lauky's third annual turkey wobble. Pleasant Mt. was the first peak he ever bagged. It was on Thanksgiving Day when he was four months old. He was right on schedule. We did the Ledges trail that year to keep it shorter.

All the Pleasant Mt. trails are in beautiful shape at this time.:)
