Sandwiches
I always have brought sandwiches on the trail to eat when we stop, usually on the summit. I have a lot of snack food, too. The usual GORP, snickers bars, sometimes dried fruit, always some cheese. For sandwiches my staple is at least one fluffernutter. Quick energy burst from the sugar and longer lasting energy from the PB. This usually keeps me from totally pigging out when we're finished. I usually eat a steak within the next 48 hours, but try to watch what I'm eating. I'm not good at it, though. Huge belly. Bought and paid for. Good livin'!
