anybody hiked the closed section of the rocky branch trail ..if so how bad is it any info on this trail would be much appreciated

I went in just past the junction with the Stairs Col Trail this summer, and it was pretty much a disaster area where it met with the river. 10 foot tall pile of trees and twisted debris. Went past it a little until the trail disappeared into the river. They may have done a re-route, but I haven't been back or heard anything different.
