Trails: Daniel Doan, AT North (J Trail and Kodak Trail,) Cross-Rivendell Trail, Baker Rd. (& old section of Baker Rd.,) Mousley Brook Rd.
Took a great loop hike that had "been on my mind" all summer.
Hit Smarts first via Daniel Doan, North on the AT to Mt. Cube, back to the car via Cross-Rivendell and South on Baker Rd.
Where the more well traveled portion of Baker Rd. swung left to a clearing, an older looking and much rougher road kept straight. Took the older one and came out right at the start of Mousley Brook Rd, perfect. .7 mile road walk back to the car on Mousley. Made friends with the horses on the way.
Great day, all new territory for me except for the Cube summit. Felt good and busted out the 14ish miles in 6 hours with decent stops at Smarts summit, Jacob Brook Rd., and Cube summit.
