I was wondering if anyone has noticed the early spring wildflowers like the Trilliums, Dutchmens Breaches, Jack in the Pulpits, etc..,?

I'll be in the Lake George area next weekend and was hoping to do some wildflower shooting - so if anyone in that area has noticed anything - any news would be appreciated.

in NH Saturday along the Moat Mountain Trail, I found trailing arbutus buds ready to open. April is a bit early for most plants in the north country unless they're very well sheltered.

wildflowers at lake george

Hi,

I was at Lake George yesterday. Didn't hike as the torrential downpours just made it way too wet.

Saw Hepatica and Dutchman's Britches in bloom. The red trillium was fully leafed out and in bud but the flowers were not open yet. These were all close to the lake and I would not expect to see blossoms on the higher trails yet.

Also, the rain created waterfalls on the rock cuts along many of the area roads.
