Thank you for sharing. Impressive indeed. I look forward to my first trip to MHT in January.

I never skied this end. I skied the Forks end which is pretty challenging with plenty of winding and lots of ups and downs. They don't maintain the Forks end of it as frequently either. I Mountain Biked most of the MHT from 27 to Flagstaff Hut. A great place to Mt Bike too in conjunction with Sugarloaf and NEMBA trails in the area. I look forward to XC more sections this year on MHT.

http://tomcatoutdoors.blogspot.com/2013/09/mountain-biking-sugarloaf-and-bigelow.html This is a MT Bike report that was from Sugarloaf Airport to Flagstaff Hut. Beautiful views over Flagstaff Lake to Bigelows and a couple of nice waterfalls as well.
If you enjoyed the MHT, I highly recommend the AMC 100 Mile Wilderness trails near Greenville ME. There are about 80 miles of trails with a hut system and a beautiful area and away from the trailhead or huts, you rarely see anyone on the trails. There are a couple of posts on my blog if interested from last winter for trips I took to AMC trails.
