Kevin, I think Tyvek is made from polyproprolene, so it makes sense that you made that suggestion. Your mentioning that reminds me of how the paper rattles in the wind, esp. when cold, like tyvek does as well. The coating on the paper has a somewhat mat finish that is clear or the same color as the paper. Buddy
 
RMC printed their map on Tyvek - it's really nice, I got it Saturday.

I showed some hikers my Natl geographic topo montage (a merge of four maps) and they were duly impressed. The area we were hiking crosses all four maps. I generated a copy myself at an LLBean near me on their Nat Geo machine. I believe I paid $10.

I ordered USGS maps directly on Wednesday and they arrive on Saturday. I'm impressed, coming from the government!
