TRAIL CONDITIONS: The Basin Cascade Trail consisted mainly of packed powder. The Cascade Brook and Kinsman Pond Trails were sort of a combination of packed powder and unpacked powder. Particularly on the Cascade Brook and Kinsman Pond Trails, there were snow-landen "bend-over" trees that needed to be knocked free of snow to avoid an unwelcome dump of snow down the neck. All 3 trails had some blowdowns, but all were easy to negotiate in one manner or another.
